1. Will we be able to drag and drop like VTB cards to organize them vertically meaning drag one card above another one, or below one in the same vertical lane?
2. In the Relationships tab, what are the filters applied to Pre-requisite, Dependent, and Related when it searches for Tasks?

Hi @Marlon Dale ,
1. Unfortunately, Kanban cards reordering is not possible (Reasoning behind that: We maintain global ranking for all tasks. But when they are in different lanes, if we change the rank, what you would end up seeing in list could be different from what you had before..
Example: in List order - A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
Kanban
lane1 order: A, D,E, F
lane2 oder: B, C, G
lets assume G was moved to the top.
New lane 2 order: G, B, C
list oder will be : A, G, B, C, D, E, F -> is this expected behaviour?
Let me know your thoughts on our reasoning here.
2. We search based on the short description of task. (We know its not sufficient! Apologies for that.) You will be able to search with Number too with Aug 2026 release version.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Best Regards,

Hi Sunil. Thank you for thorough reply!
So for most of our users in our organizations they're transition from VTB to CWM meaning when they're interacting in the Kanban view of CWM they're hoping for a lot of the functionality available in VTB. Given then since the filters and columns seem to be more "dynamic" to create filters and show column in the List view it's almost expected they can be in any order because they will be sorted anyway. Given that being able to reorder cards in Kanban view in the same vertical lane with the side effect of changing the order of work items in the list view the pros greatly outweigh the cons.

Is there something in the pipeline to be able to drag and drop order of horizontal lanes as well? Or say we have Assigned To as the horizontal lane the ability to filter out the Unassigned horizontal lane in Kanban.
