How it went down

Drinks, Live Streams, Food, Snacks, and Cupcakes were provided exclusively for the hackathon participants. But the real goods that evening were the people and their talents and ideas, not to mention their perseverance as they spent 8 hours on the first night of an action-packed conference creating something from nothing!

Teams were tasked to build an app that fit one of the four categories (AES, GenAI, 4good, or HackZone) and were judged on:

  • Use of platform
  • Originality/innovation
  • Usefulness/utility
  • Polish & Wow Factor/User Experience (aka the Coolness factor)
  • Readiness for public consumption
  • Compliance

These dedicated hackers stayed up til MIDNIGHT to build amazing apps. And when they were done, our team of awesome judges stayed up late (til 2am!) or woke up early to figure out who would go home with the ultimate bragging rights:

  • 7 teams earned honorable mentions,
  • 10 teams became finalists,
  • Out of our finalists, 4 teams were chosen as winners,
  • And out of winners, 1 team was chosen as the CreatorCon Hackathon Overall Winner
