Completed the #BuildMoreWithBuildAgent Challenge!

Hello Everyone,

🚀 I built CertPath AI — Exam Readiness Radar & Certification Goal Tracker

And one question keeps coming up in my DMs:

“I’m new to ServiceNow… where do I start?”
CSA?
CIS‑ITSM?
CAD?
And eventually… CTA or CMA?

Even experienced professionals ask:
➡️ What should I take next?
➡️ What are the real prerequisites for CTA / CMA?
➡️ How do certifications connect to an actual career path?

That confusion is exactly why I built CertPath AI App helps you:
Start the right way — CSA first
Understand CIS‑ITSM and specialization paths
Know when and why CAD matters
Clearly see CTA / CMA prerequisites & readiness
Always know what to study next — without guessing

It’s an agent‑powered workspace that guides the entire journey, not just individual exams:
• Career paths & certification roadmaps
• Exam readiness radar (progress, risk, timelines)
• Goal tracking with real‑time status
• Structured study materials & CTA architecture prep → whiteboards, decision matrices, governance notes

This started as a personal gap. Too many people want to learn ServiceNow — but get blocked at the start or stuck mid‑journey.

So, I built an AI‑first approach that turns confusion into a clear path — from CSA to CTA/CMA.

Still evolving. Still improving.

But already helping bring clarity and confidence to complex certification journeys.

🤝 Call to action

• New to ServiceNow or unsure what’s next after CSA?
I’m opening a small early‑access waitlist to shape this with real learner feedback.
• CTA / CMA mentors & senior architects
I’d love your guidance to ensure the readiness model reflects real‑world expectations.
• Builders & OSS enthusiasts
Planning to open‑source parts of this (learning path frameworks, readiness models).

If you’re learning ServiceNow today — where did you struggle most: starting out, choosing the next cert, or understanding the CTA/CMA path? 👇

Huge thanks to ServiceNow ServiceNow & ServiceNow Community for creating such an incredible opportunity for everyone to learn, explore hashtag#BuildWithBuildAgent, and understand how to use Now Assist. From crafting prompts to building a working app within an hour — all grounded in real business context and use cases. It’s great to see how rapidly the product is evolving and opening up new possibilities to explore AI features and trends. I also appreciate how efforts are recognized and rewarded. Looking forward to more challenges like this, especially for new features, so people can gain hands‑on experience and confidence using them.

For #BuildMoreWithBuildAgent I built an Architecture Decision Records
(ADR) app on the ServiceNow platform.

The premise: most architecture decisions in our practice get made in
Slack threads, lost in DMs, and re-litigated a quarter later. ADRs are
a well-known pattern in software engineering for capturing the context,
the decision, the consequences, and the alternatives considered — but
the tooling for them tends to live outside the platform where the work
actually happens. So I had Build Agent put the tool where the decisions
belong: inside ServiceNow.

What it includes:

- A scoped app with a single ADR table (extending Task), 11 custom
fields covering title, status, context, decision, consequences,
alternatives considered, decided-by, decision date, supersedes,
related CIs, and tags
- A status lifecycle: Proposed → Accepted → Superseded, with
Deprecated and Rejected as terminal states
- Colour-coded status across forms, lists, and chart
- An application menu with four modules (All, Create New, My Decisions,
Active)
- A Configurable Workspace dashboard with count cards, a status
distribution chart, and a recent decisions list
- 22 seeded sample ADRs covering real ServiceNow architecture
decisions — Update Sets vs App Engine Source Control, MID vs Service
Graph Connectors, Flow Designer vs Workflow Studio, Now Assist skill
governance, ATF coverage requirements, Business Rule discipline, and
more — including three superseded → replacement relationships to
demonstrate the lifecycle
- Three Now Assist skills for drafting, summarising, and impact analysis

Call budget used: under 15. The bulk of the build was a single opening
prompt that defined the data model, form layout, list view, status
colours, and application menu in one shot. Subsequent calls were for
seed data, the workspace dashboard, and a layout reorder.

What surprised me: I have built a lot of Configurable Workspace
dashboards by hand. Build Agent assembled this one — count cards,
chart, list, all wired to the underlying table — faster than I have
ever done it manually, and the output was correct enough that the only
follow-up was a cosmetic reorder.

Hi All,

Excited to participate in the **#BuildMoreWithBuildAgent Challenge** with **ResolveGuard**.

ResolveGuard is a governed incident resolution layer for ServiceNow ITSM. It assesses incidents, checks supporting knowledge, evaluates confidence and risk, applies automation policies, and recommends the right resolution path.

For this proof of concept, I kept auto-resolution disabled by default to give the Service Desk more visibility and control, while still allowing automation where company policy permits.

Hello ServiceNow Community ServiceNow,

I’m thrilled to join the #BuildMoreWithBuildAgent challenge!

I’ve successfully developed "#DocAdvisor," an app born from the common struggle of finding the right specialist for specific health concerns. Using the ServiceNow #BuildAgent capability, I was able to bridge this gap and bring this solution to life in record time.

LinkedIn Posthttps://www.linkedin.com/posts/vijaytalupula_buildmorewithbuildagent-docadvisor-buildagent-ugcPost-7...

Here is a quick intro about my app,

🩺 DocAdvisor — Application Overview

What is DocAdvisor?

DocAdvisor is a symptom-to-specialist recommendation engine built entirely on the ServiceNow platform. It helps users describe what's bothering them in plain language and instantly receive ranked specialist recommendations — complete with confidence scores, reasoning, and wait time estimates.

Key Features

🔍 Natural Language Symptom Search

Users type symptoms in their own words (e.g., "shooting back pain", "chest tightness", "feeling anxious all the time"). The search engine tokenizes the input and scores it against a curated database of 25+ symptoms using name, keyword, and description matching — no exact phrasing required.

🏥 Intelligent Specialist Matching

Each search returns specialists ranked by a multi-factor confidence algorithm:

Symptom relevance — How closely the specialist's expertise maps to the identified symptoms

Cross-symptom boosting — Confidence increases when a specialist matches multiple symptoms

Priority ranking — Curated priority ensures the most relevant specialist appears first

📊 Detailed Recommendation Cards

Each result card includes:

Confidence score with visual progress bar and color-coded badge (Strong Match, Good Match, Possible Match)

"Why this specialist?" — Clear, plain-language reasoning for every recommendation

Symptom matches — Shows exactly which symptoms triggered the recommendation

Average wait time — Sets realistic expectations for appointment scheduling

📋 Consultation Logging

Every search is logged to a Consultation Log table, capturing the query, matched symptoms, and top recommendation — enabling analytics on the most common health concerns.

Common Search Suggestions

Pre-built suggestion chips let users explore the system with a single click — showcasing conditions like "persistent headache", "skin rash that won't go away", and "trouble breathing".

Here are a few quick screenshots for a first look at the app,

#𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 Challenge

I Built a Real-Time "Customer Churn Prevention System" on ServiceNow CSM

The problem: Your ServiceNow instance already captures valuable signals about customer sentiment - SLA breaches, escalations, negative surveys, reopened cases, and more. However, these insights often remain distributed across multiple tables, making it challenging to proactively identify at-risk customers and act in a timely manner.

The solution: A fully automated churn detection and response engine built natively on ServiceNow CSM using Now SDK Fluent API. Zero manual data entry. Zero spreadsheets.

How the Process Works
The system runs on a continuous detect → score → classify → respond cycle:

(1) Detect: Seven business rules monitor CSM events in real-time and generate weighted Churn Signals the moment something goes wrong:
SLA breach on a case → +30
Negative CSAT survey → +25
Case escalated → +20
Case reopened after resolution → +20
P1/P2 case raised → +15
3+ cases in 7 days for same account → +10
Every signal is auto-linked to the customer's Churn Profile via the case's account reference.

(2) Score: On every new signal, a business rule sums all active signal weights for that customer into a composite churn score (0–100, capped). A customer with an SLA breach (+30), an escalation (+20), and a reopened case (+20) instantly sits at 70.

(3) Classify: The score maps to a risk level in real-time:
0–30 → Low
31–60 → Medium
61–80 → High
81–100 → Critical

(4) Respond: When risk hits High or Critical, a Flow triggers automatically:
High → Creates a "Follow-up Call" retention action + emails the Account Manager
Critical → Creates both an "Escalation" and "Follow-up Call" action + sends an urgent alert
The entire chain - from a case event to a retention action in the Account Manager's queue - happens in seconds with zero human input.

Architecture
Three core tables: Churn Profiles (one per customer, auto-created on account registration), Churn Signals (auto-generated risk events), and Retention Actions (auto-triggered interventions). A React-powered dashboard gives leadership real-time visibility into at-risk accounts, risk distribution, and top churn drivers.

Why it matters:
Proactive - catch risk at score 45, not after the cancellation email
Quantified - data-driven scores, not gut feelings
Automated - signals, scores, risk levels, and actions require zero manual input
Connected - wired directly into your CSM case lifecycle, not a disconnected spreadsheet

Your platform already has the data. This system just listens.

Now Social: Agentic PR Crisis & Engagement Monitor - My #BuildMoreWithBuildAgent Submission

Social submission Link 🔗https://www.linkedin.com/posts/shivam-mahendru-5b212b203_buildmorewithbuildagent-servicenow-buildmor...

Hello Community! For the #BuildMoreWithBuildAgent challenge, I wanted to move beyond traditional IT service management and tackle a massive challenge in the enterprise space: Brand Reputation and proactive Customer Service Management (CSM). I am excited to introduce Now Social, an agentic enterprise engagement and PR crisis monitor built natively on the ServiceNow platform.

Most organizations suffer from a reactive approach to public relations. By the time a viral complaint or service outage hits the CSM queue as user-submitted tickets, the brand damage is already done. Social media listening tools exist, but they are siloed dashboards, entirely disconnected from the actual workflows and teams (PR, Executives, CSM) that need to resolve the issues.

Now Social bridges this gap using agentic AI orchestration.

Data Ingestion: The app ingests social data from platforms like X, YouTube, and Instagram via REST APIs directly into ServiceNow tables. We track both company mentions and competitor data.

AI Orchestration: Through a REST integration with Google Gemini, an intelligent agent continuously runs NLP sentiment analysis on the incoming feeds.

Automated Action: If the AI detects a high-threat negative PR event, it doesn't just update a chart. It autonomously opens a Major CSM Case, alerts the relevant personas, and drafts an empathetic public response based on the company's historical reply data.

Competitor Insights: Simultaneously, a secondary agent analyses competitor data to map market trends and strategic opportunities.

For the user interface, I used Build Agent to generate a modern, minimal Bento Box layout utilizing CSS Grid. I intentionally avoided a conversational chatbot UI. Instead, the AI's conclusions are woven directly into a sleek executive dashboard featuring real-time sentiment tracking, competitor benchmarks, and an actionable crisis feed that business leaders can actually use.

By transforming unstructured social media noise into structured, automated ServiceNow workflows, Now Social empowers organizations to proactively manage public relations crises and capitalize on market gaps before they escalate. It was an incredible experience using ServiceNow Build Agent to bring this complex, multi-agent enterprise application from an idea to reality!

As part of the #BuildMoreWithBuildAgent challenge, I built an application called AI Ethics Command Center using ServiceNow to bring governance and accountability to AI usage across enterprises.

Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough of how I designed and implemented the solution on my Personal Developer Instance (PDI).

🧠 Step 1: Define the App Concept

With increasing AI adoption, organizations face risks like:
• Bias in AI responses
• Toxic or harmful outputs
• Data privacy concerns

I wanted to build a system that can:
• Capture AI interactions (prompt & response)
• Evaluate them using AI for ethical risks
• Assign a risk score based on toxicity and bias
• Automatically flag and track high-risk interactions
• Provide a centralized dashboard for monitoring

💬Step 2: Prompt AI / Design the Solution

I used structured AI prompts to design the application, including:

"Create a scoped application called 'Ethical AI Auditor' with tables for AI Interactions, Ethics Policies, and Audit Violations. The system should evaluate AI prompts and responses using an external LLM, calculate a risk score, and trigger violations for high-risk cases."

This helped define:
• Data model (custom tables)
• Risk evaluation logic
• Integration with external AI
• Governance workflow

⚙️Step 3: Application in Action

• User submits an AI interaction (prompt + response)
• System sends data to an external AI model via REST
• AI evaluates for toxicity and bias
• Risk score is generated and stored
• If risk score > threshold:
→ An Audit Violation record is automatically created
• Users can re-run audits using a client-side action

📊Step 4: Dashboard & Insights

I built a modern dashboard to provide:
📊 Violations by Category
🛡️ Average Safety Rating
🚨 High Risk Interactions (highlighted)
• Action buttons for quick navigation

💡Step 5: Outcome

The application enables organizations to:
• Monitor AI usage in real time
• Detect ethical risks proactively
• Improve compliance and governance
• Build trust in AI-driven systems

💡 Key Takeaway

This project demonstrates how combining AI + workflow automation in ServiceNow can create powerful, enterprise-grade solutions for responsible AI adoption.

Excited to explore more in this space and continue building impactful AI-driven applications 🚀

Hello @laurentapia ,

🚀 Excited to share my submission for the #BuildMoreWithBuildAgent Challenge!

🔗 LinkedIn Post (Challenge Submission): Click to open Link

💡 For this challenge, I built DecisionTwin – Business Scenario Simulation & Impact Intelligence, a solution that enables users to simulate business decisions and evaluate their impact before execution.

🏢 In many organizations, decisions like budget changes, resource allocation, or vendor selection are made without complete visibility. DecisionTwin addresses this by allowing users to create “what-if” scenarios and instantly understand outcomes in terms of risk, cost, and success probability.

The application provides an interactive simulation experience, scenario comparison, and insights to support better and more informed decision-making.

📊 It also includes a modern dashboard with KPIs, charts, and a clean tab-based UI (Overview, Simulation, Comparison, Insights) using card-based design and color-coded indicators.

🧠 Below are the exact prompts used to build DecisionTwin using ServiceNow Build Agent:

Prompt 1

Create a scoped application called "DecisionTwin – Business Scenario Simulation & Impact Intelligence" with scope name decision_twin.

Define core tables:

  • Scenario

  • Scenario Input

  • Scenario Result

Scenario should include:

  • Name

  • Scenario Type (Budget Change, Resource Allocation, Vendor Decision)

Input fields:

  • Budget Change % (-50 to +50)

  • Team Size Change % (-30 to +30)

  • Vendor Rating (1–5)

Output fields:

  • Risk Level (Low, Medium, High)

  • Cost Impact (%)

  • Success Probability (%)

  • Recommendation

Generate realistic demo data:

  • 60–100 scenarios

  • Ensure variation across all scenario types

Risk distribution:

  • 30% High

  • 40% Medium

  • 30% Low

Ensure all fields are populated so dashboards and UI components display meaningful insights.

Prompt 2

Enhance DecisionTwin with a dynamic Impact Engine, real-time simulation behavior, and intelligent insights.

Impact Engine:

  • Budget decrease → higher risk

  • Resource reduction → higher delay risk

  • High vendor rating → lower risk

Calculate:

  • Risk Level

  • Cost Impact (%)

  • Success Probability (%)

Ensure realistic relationships between inputs and outputs.

Real-Time Simulation:

  • When input values change, update:

    • Risk Level

    • Success Probability

    • Cost Impact

  • Simulate immediate feedback behavior for better user experience

AI Insights:

  • Explanation of risk level

  • Key contributing factors

  • Suggested actions to improve outcome

Ensure insights are human-readable and clearly structured.

Prompt 3

Enhance DecisionTwin with a modern, dynamic, tab-based user interface and visually rich dashboard.

Create tab-based navigation:

  1. Overview

  2. Simulation

  3. Comparison

  4. Insights

Overview Tab:

  • KPI Cards:

    • Total Scenarios

    • High Risk Scenarios

    • Average Success Probability

    • Average Cost Impact

  • Charts:

    • Pie Chart: Risk Distribution

    • Bar Chart: Scenario Type vs Risk

    • Trend Chart: Scenarios over time

  • Lists:

    • Top High-Risk Scenarios

    • Recently Created Scenarios

Simulation Tab:

  • Inputs using sliders:

    • Budget Change %

    • Cost Impact (%)

  • Ensure values update dynamically when inputs change

Comparison Tab:

  • Display multiple scenarios side-by-side

  • Show:

    • Risk Level

    • Cost Impact

    • Success Probability

  • Highlight best scenario using a "Recommended" badge

Insights Tab:

  • Risk explanation

  • Key contributing factors

  • Suggested improvements

UI Design:

  • Workspace-style layout

  • Card-based components with rounded corners and shadows

  • Color coding:

    • Green = Low Risk

    • Orange = Medium Risk

    • Red = High Risk

  • Clean spacing and modern typography

  • Smooth interaction and responsive design

Goal:
Create a highly interactive, visually appealing decision intelligence platform that feels modern, dynamic, and user-friendly.

Prompt 4

Enhance the DecisionTwin application to ensure the dashboard is fully populated with meaningful data and properly connected to the Scenario table.

Data Fix:

  • Ensure all Scenario records have values for:

    • Risk Level (Low, Medium, High)

    • Success Probability (0–100)

    • Cost Impact (%)

    • Scenario Type

  • If any values are missing, auto-calculate them using existing inputs:

    • Budget decrease → increase risk, reduce success

    • Resource reduction → increase risk

    • High vendor rating → increase success

  • Update existing records OR generate additional records if needed (at least 60–100 total)

Dashboard Binding:

  • Ensure all dashboard widgets pull data from the Scenario table

Charts:
