Our first AMA had a ton of questions about life at ServiceNow, how to break into ServiceNow, our thoughts on Workflows vs. Flows, and even résumé hacks. We weren't able to get through all the questions, so we will be hosting another one this Friday!

Product questions, content-creation questions, career management questions - we'll do our best! And this time, we will have special guest, David Murch, to answer any questions from the Product Manager perspective along with any Mobile related questions you might have.

Highlights from the Stream

🌟 Mobile Development Tips (with David Murch)

David shared a ton of valuable insight into getting started with native mobile apps on the Now Platform. Key takeaways:

  • Start with the Best Practices Guide and Mobile App Academy on YouTube

  • Upgrade Mobile App Builder quarterly, not just with family releases

  • Use the “What’s New” button inside MAB to keep up with new features

  • Web-to-Mobile conversion can dramatically reduce duplication of work

  • Safe Harbor: AI-powered mobile building agents are on the roadmap!

🎉 ServiceNow Easter Eggs?

From Star Wars fonts to Tamagotchi plants and prank Z-boot modals, the team shared the fun (and sometimes real) UI Easter eggs they've built over the years.

🧭 Career Advice in the AI Era

The ecosystem is changing—fast. Our advice:

  • You don’t need to know everything about the platform.

  • Focus on areas where you’re curious and passionate.

  • Set time-boxed goals to avoid aimless drifting.

  • Use your PDI to build things that matter to you—like personal apps or improvements at your day job.

  • And yes, AI is moving fast—get in the habit of learning fast too.

🌎 Should You Attend World Forum?

Absolutely. They’re free, local, and packed with labs, demos, and networking. Plus, CreatorCon is getting bigger every year—and that’s where the dev magic happens.

🛠 Keeping Up with Zurich (and Everything Else)

  • Don’t stress trying to know everything.

  • Use tools like NotebookLM to summarize docs and release notes.

  • Organize your notes with tools like Notion, OneNote, or Obsidian.

  • Surround yourself with people who fill in your gaps—collaboration is key.

🔄 Developer Livestreams & Breakpoint Podcast

The team is always building live. From Discord bots to garden apps and AI agent walkthroughs, there’s no shortage of hands-on learning opportunities.

Next up: Kristy, Earl, and Travis rotate weekly streams. Lauren’s Breakpoint podcast is going bi-weekly. Zurich content is rolling out on Creator Toolbox soon.
