The time has finally come to unveil The Devvies 2024: App of the Year Contest finalists.
These 10 teams embody exactly what this contest is all about – showcasing innovative and creative applications to inspire others with the capabilities and power of the Now Platform.
Our esteemed panel of judges worked diligently over the past month to narrow down a staggering 297 applicants, so without further ado, we’re pleased to announce the finalists for this year’s App of the Year contest!

2024 App of the Year Finalists
Marketing Central
- Team Members: Brian Kripowicz, Dwayne Shores, Amanda Acevedo, Rey Franco, Brian Thoryn
- App Details: Marketing Central ties together several groups under the marketing umbrella including design, communications, social, content, etc, and enables tracking, measurement, and delivery of marketing products and services to ensure we are aligned with the business.
- ServiceNow Capabilities/Features: Developer Studio, Flow Designer, Workflow, Business Rules, Record Producer, Performance Analytics
- Judging Highlights: "This app has a really impressive, broad array of services for all marketing and business development functions."
CATI
- Team Members: Shatha Almasary, Robert Stearns, Shirin Mostafavian, Matt LoPresti
- App Details: FEMA CATI App replaces FEMA's outdated Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) survey application that was failing to meet the current and future demands of the Agency. The custom CATI application integrates with Medallia survey platform enhancing FEMA's ability to collect, store, process, and report on surveying data.
- ServiceNow Capabilities/Features: Developer Studio, UI Builder / Next Experience, Workspace, REST APIs, Third Party APIs, Notifications, Process Automation Designer, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Virtual Agent Designer, Record Producer, Performance Analytics
- Judging Highlights: "I love the use case and how broad it is; even for the small number of users, the situational impact seems huge."
Tenon
- Team Members: Ben Ivers, Daniel Cudney, Trevor Offen, Desiree Morehouse, Jillian Howell
- App Details: Tenon, a marketing work management solution, enables enterprise marketing teams to plan and execute their marketing initiatives at scale. By integrating with CRM and marketing automation systems, Tenon equips marketing leaders with the insights and data necessary to optimize their strategies and drive superior results.
- ServiceNow Capabilities/Features: App Engine Studio, UI Builder / Next Experience, Now Experience CLI for Custom Components, Workspace, REST APIs, Third Party APIs, Notifications, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Record Producer
- Judging Highlights: "This app has robust capabilities that address several key use cases in marketing work management."
Finance Taxation
- Team Members: Glenn Lovelace, Lei Win, Dario Recalde
- App Details: The Finance Taxation Application standardizes county taxation systems onto a single modern supportable platform. The Tax Team now has a single platform for tax calculations with direct integration into financial systems and translation between the financial platform.
- ServiceNow Capabilities/Features: App Engine Studio, Notifications, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Record Producer
- Judging Highlights: "This is a superb app addressing a manual nightmare with thoughtful automation and a variety of end-user experiences"
Suite of Apps
- Team Members: Jeroen Kopczinski, Timothy Bridge, Shivesh Bhawnani, Tuan Nguyen, Yannick Schneider
- App Details: This suite of applications automates and streamlines international relocations of diplomats. These previously manual processes that were handled by email, phone, and office applications are now fully automated and integrated.
- ServiceNow Capabilities/Features: App Engine Studio, Developer Studio, Service Portal Designer, UI Builder / Next Experience, Now Experience CLI for Custom Components, Workspace, REST APIs, Third Party APIS, Notifications, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Record Producer, Performance Analytics.
- Judging Highlights: "This is a unique solution utilizing most platform developer tools and functionality while providing experiences to employees, agents, and vendors."
Production Support
- Team Members: Josh Barbour, Kristina Vinson, Austin Burton, Kyle Bass
- App Details: The Production Support Application helps shorten the time to answer questions during the lending process, in turn shortening the time to close loans.
- ServiceNow Capabilities/Features: App Engine Studio, Developer Studio, Service Portal Designer, UI Builder / Next Experience, Workspace, REST APIs, Notifications, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Guided App Creator, Virtual Agent Designer, Record Producer, UI Policies, advanced work assignment, email scripts, inbound actions, UI Actions
- Judging Highlights: "This is a good example of using ServiceNow to enhance and automate the loan process. I love the story this tells"
Claims
- Team Members: Martina Brajkovic, Philemon Anthony, Björn Pfoster
- App Details: The Claims application provides easy access for filing and processing insurance claims. The solution is low maintenance and is fully integrated into the legacy claims systems, offering a customer-centered experience and enabling cross-company collaboration.
- ServiceNow Capabilities/Features: App Engine Studio, Developer Studio, Service Portal Designer, REST APIs, Third Party APIs, Notifications, Flow Designer, Workflow, Business Rules, Guided App Creator, Record Producer, Performance Analytics, Custom Apps
- Judging Highlights: "This is a good example of a complex app with customer-centric experiences integrated into legacy systems"
Relocation Claims
- Team Members: Philemon Antony, Björn Pfoster, Nora Kurzbein, Laurent Tauber
- App Details: The Relocation Claims app provides automated claims solutions for employees relocating to different countries, thus increasing productivity of the claims specialists by eliminating previously manual steps.
- ServiceNow Capabilities/Features: App Engine Studio, Developer Studio, Mobile Builder, Service Portal Designer, REST APIs, Third Party APIs, Notifications, Flow Designer, Business Rules
- Judging Highlights: "It’s a great use case and showcases the power of the platform really nicely."
SPAYG Core
- Team Members: Martina Brajkovic, Max Eugster, Patrik Bichsel
- App Details: The SPAYG (smart pay-as-you-go) app is a pre-paid electricity solution. The application automatically monitors all accounts and sends text messages if insufficient credit on the account. This is the only app in the world that allows you to turn off electricity via a button in ServiceNow!

- Judging Highlights: "This app could have a very high business impact in terms of market reach and profitability."
Tracy Social AI
- Team Members: Ben Hollifield, Aylee Andersen, Reece Poulsen, Dalton Neves, Nate Anderson
- App Details: Tracy Social AI helps organizations stay relevant and effectively communicate across all social channels, ensuring customers and prospects are constantly aware of your brand, products, and presence in your community. The solution uses generative AI and ServiceNow to automate the scheduling, generation, and posting of communications to social media, whether LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, or internal channels like Slack and Teams.

- Judging Highlights: "This team used the newest technology and built an app that would be scalable and dynamic enough to keep up with the ever-changing GenAI landscape."
When will the winners be announced?
First things first; our finalists from here will work to develop pitch videos for each of their submissions. From there, every application team will take part in a live grill session where they will be judged by ServiceNow executives and answer questions about their app.
At the same time, we’ll turn to you, the Community, to power us towards the People’s Choice Award finish line! Each finalist and their pitch video will be posted to the Community at the end of January, and you’ll have a chance to vote on your favorite app to be awarded the People’s Choice Award!
Once voting is completed, the process is almost complete! The winner for both the App of the Year and the People’s Choice Award will be announced during the CreatorCon Keynote at ServiceNow’s Knowledge 2024 conference, occurring in Las Vegas from May 7-9, 2024.
