Why this page exists
The ServiceNow Community grows when knowledge flows freely: one person's solved problem becomes the next person's shortcut. That is the spirit behind everything I write. I want to help the Community grow by sharing what works in real projects — clearly, practically and in one place — so that whether you are taking your first steps on the platform or designing a complex solution, you find something here that saves you time.
Over the years these articles have been spread across forums, blogs and knowledge bases, which made them hard to find. This page brings them all together into one learning path across four tracks. Read them in sequence or jump to the topic you need — and if something helps you, pass it on. That is how a community grows.
Standing on the shoulders of the Community
None of this happened alone. I learned from the ServiceNow MVPs who answer questions late into the night, the Rising Stars who keep raising the bar, and the many writers and bloggers whose articles I bookmarked long before I wrote my own. Their generosity is what makes this Community special, and every article here is my small way of giving back. If you have written for the Community too, thank you — your work has helped more people than you will ever know.
All articles, in the order I wrote them

3 | [SOLVED]: Dependent variable on Catalog item using Lookup Select Box | Two ways to make catalog variables depend on each other with Lookup Select Boxes: across two tables, or within one. |
4 | Sends automated email alerts from a scheduled job, such as telling an assignee's manager when an incident has been idle for seven days.
5 | A high-level plan for one of the hardest parts of a Remedy migration: knowledge articles.
6 | How the Order Management catalog separates customer-facing products from technical resources, and which entities to configure first.
7 | TEST strategy for TSM product Model, ORD creation and Decomposition | A test strategy for TSM order flows, from defining the product model to validating each step from approval through inventory and closure. |
8 | TSM Product docs, On-Demand Learnings, LAB, Blogs and Helpful Articles! | A curated reading list for Telecommunications Service Management: product docs, Now Learning courses and labs, and community blogs. |
9 | The out-of-the-box TSM order APIs expect an account on every order, so B2C orders fail.
10 | Overriding OOB Domain Order Validations (PO Cancelation) in TSM | Cancelling a domain order falls out because the OOB DomainOrder script include expects child orders to be closed. |
11 | Demystifies three Client Script checkboxes: Inherited, Global and Isolate Script.
12 | Best practices for client scripts that are fast, maintainable and easy to debug.
13 | Where classic client scripts run today — Classic UI, Workspaces, Service Portal and catalog items — and which APIs break outside the classic form.
14 | World of Client-side Scripts: #4 (Async, Debugging and Testing) | Hands-on patterns for fast forms: g_scratchpad, async GlideAjax and onSubmit validation |
15 | The opening article of my Sales CRM Decoded series: the full product view from lead to post-sales, the 24 applications in the Australia release, and how SOMT extends it for telecom. |
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who has read, bookmarked, marked as helpful and shared these articles over the years — your questions and comments shaped many of them. A special thank you to the ServiceNow MVPs, fellow Rising Stars, Community moderators and every writer and blogger who shares what they learn. You set the example I try to follow.
I will keep this page updated as new articles are published. Connect with me on LinkedIn so you don't miss the next one and tell me in the comments which topic you would like me to cover next.
