Tips on Guided Tours

Here are some tips related to guided tours:

- Guided Tours are always created in Global App, even if you are creating them for Portals, like ESC or CSM. They only way to transport them to other instances is if they are in the Global App.

-For creating tours for portal ESC,  Check if the the routing that maps sc_cat_item to esc_sc_cat_item is Active, if it is active, in the field SP Page, select the ID for sc_cat_item. it will automatically map it to the "ESC" one. and you will see the Options field autopopulate with the mapping.

- You can use HTML code in the call outs to enahnce your messages

- Ensure that you have a pretty stable page designed already, before you create Guided tours. The layout changes will affect the steps in the tour and you will have to re.create them again.

- The Title field in the instruction does not take HTML code and does not take special characters, you will have to do that in every instance

- as it can be deduced, it is recommended to group all changes for guided tours in its own Update Set, keep changes to record producers, lists or forms in separate update sets.
