The 2024 London World Forum for ServiceNow was one of those special moments where the energy of the event matched the vibrancy of the city itself.
London, with its blend of historic charm and cutting-edge innovation, provided the perfect backdrop for two action-packed days with the ServiceNow Community.
It's easy to get lost in the beauty of London — the cobblestone streets, the mix of old and new architecture, the eclectic food scene — whether you're exploring the neighborhoods, the street art through Shoreditch, or strolling by iconic landmarks along the Thames. Even amidst all that, the highlight was the sense of community felt throughout our ServiceNow events.
October 1st: A ServiceNow Developer Meetup at London Docklands
Despite the rain, over 100 of us showed up for the ServiceNow Developer Meetup at London Docklands, a historical museum (and a program’s first).
It was fantastic to see so many first-timers join the event, and eager to connect and learn from one another. A big thank you to our dedicated organizers — Kopal, Dhruv, Russell, and Famela — who really have established this amazing community within our London Meetup Chapter, and Tanvi Gokhale, our ServiceNow Meetup Program Manager, who brought all the elements together to make this event happen and a success!
We kicked off the night with a warm welcome from the organizers, followed by engaging sessions from Senior Developer Advocates Lauren McManamon and Earl Duque on Now Assist AI and Xanadu. It was inspiring to see how these tools are revolutionizing how we work.
We also engaged in a few fun games, including the London Mentimeter Quiz + Word Search Game ran by the organizers and the newly launched interactive game created by Earl, called, “Now Assist vs Meetups”, an AI prompt game.
This was an opportunity for attendees to split into two sections of the room — one side with individuals who were comfortable with scripting and other side with individuals who were not.
Within those groups, they broke into smaller groups of 6-8 people. Once the game began, the teams were given two prompts (one coding vs non-coding), and once they completed the prompt, we compared it to what Now Assist created to see which team was close to the final answer.
At the end of the game, we had two teams who were confident their answers were close, and they won a couple of swag items to celebrate their victory!
Of course, the event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Quality Clouds, who are helping developers build better, faster by providing real-time insights and best practices.
The evening wrapped up with plenty of networking, loads of swag, and a lot of excitement about the future of ServiceNow.
It didn’t matter that it was raining — the energy inside was electric.
October 2nd: The Community at the London World Forum
The next day was the London World Forum, with over 3,000 people in attendance, and it was nothing short of incredible.
Our team had the opportunity of owning the CreatorCon space. The SmartKeg and NextPhotoBooth added some incredible engaging elements to the space to show fun and unique ways showing how our platform can help resolve problems and streamline solutions.
Some of the magic of Community was in our mini pavilion, where our Community Experts, MVPs, Rising Stars, and Developer Advocates shared their expertise about the Xanadu release features and their unique use cases.
We had standout presentations, from Philip Swann showing a demo solution on integrated risk, to Amarjeet Pal’s Health360 application on a complete suite of best practices.
Lauren McManamon and Earl Duque kept the momentum going with their low-code and pro-code breakdowns of Xanadu’s top features. Each session offered something new, whether you were an experienced developer or just getting started.
Harneet Sital blew everyone away with NowAssist, showing how AI is transforming how FSO agents work. Atul Grover dove into how to transform your release and change processes, while Suresh Loganathan tackled GenAI for DevOps, giving us a glimpse into the future of development.
Ashutosh Munot and Dhruv Gupta unveiled Creator Studio, helping folks feel more confident about the opportunity it provided, and Pratiksha Khandelwal shared her knowledge about MSP360 TPSM and how to optimize Service Delivery.
But it wasn’t just our space that brought variety — our partners and other organizations also provided diverse experiences, from product showcases to live demos, making sure there was something for everyone.
Whether you were interested in specific technical solutions or broader business applications, there were plenty of opportunities to explore and engage with the latest innovations.
The day’s main stage featured two major highlights: a keynote on AI’s role in business transformation by Nick Tzitzon and an inspiring locknote speech by Mo Gawdat, who left everyone with so much to think about regarding AI, happiness, and the future. These sessions brought everything full circle, reminding us of the larger vision that ties together the work we do every day.
The forum wrapped up with networking and celebrations, giving everyone a chance to connect with peers and reflect on the insights gained. Being in a room with thousands of professionals, all dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, was truly inspiring and I walked away with a newfound energy.
We ended the day in the best way possible — sharing quality time with our ServiceNow MVPs and Rising Stars at a cocktail hour filled with great conversation and laughter.
The entire day really wasn’t just about the learning — it was about the connections, the shared experiences, and the excitement for what’s to come.
Some Final Thoughts
London, with all its cultural richness and innovation, provided the perfect setting for this year’s experiences.
The events were filled with moments of learning, inspiration, and most importantly, our ServiceNow Community.
From our high energy developer meetup to the #PutAItoWork sessions and keynotes, it was clear that everyone — whether a first-timer or a seasoned veteran — found something meaningful to take away.
The beauty of London, much like the ServiceNow Community, lies in its diversity — in the history of its existence, in its people, in multiple perspectives shared.
Here’s to the amazing people and the connections made in one of the world’s greatest cities.
Until we meet again, London.
