As I sit at my gate waiting to board my first flight back to San Diego, I can’t help but feel gratitude for the last few days in Munich and the community members I was able to meet. The 2024 Munich World Forum for ServiceNow was truly a memorable experience, blending the charm of Bavarian culture with the excitement of the ServiceNow Community. Munich's rich history and beautiful landmarks made the perfect backdrop for an incredible few days of exploration, learning, and community building.
October 21st: Sightseeing and Community: A Perfect Combination
Munich is a city that effortlessly combines historic elegance with modern vibrancy. We started our adventure with classic Bavarian experiences, visiting iconic spots like Hofbräuhaus, Augustiner Bräu. The energy was high, and it was great to share these moments with my team.
We also found time to explore the stunning Munich Residenz and its beautifully preserved rooms. But that was just the beginning!
October 22nd: Developer Meetup at EXCON in the Altstadt
The ServiceNow Developer Meetup at EXCCON’s office in Munich’s Altstadt was another highlight! Set near Marienplatz, the meetup brought together over 40 community members, and the energy was incredible. We kicked things off with engaging sessions on Now Assist AI and the latest Xanadu features, followed by some fun interactive games that got everyone involved.
The AI prompt game was a blast—developers split into teams, battled it out, and compared their answers with what Now Assist generated. Spoiler: the AI was sharp, but so were our attendees! Afterward, we wrapped things up with plenty of swag and some good old-fashioned networking.
Solo Salzburg and Hallstatt: A retreat before World Forum
Before the World Forum, I took a solo trip to Austria to see Salzburg and Hallstatt, and it was absolutely dreamy. Salzburg’s charming streets and Hallstatt’s serene lakeside views were everything I hoped for. It was the perfect little getaway before diving into the hustle and bustle of Munich’s World Forum.
October 23rd: The World Forum Buzz at CreatorCon
And then, the World Forum hit Munich! With over a thousand in attendance, CreatorCon was buzzing with energy. Our pavilion was alive with exciting demos, presentations, and hands-on experiences. Harneet Sital blew everyone’s minds with NowAssist AI, and the MVPs and Developer Advocates kept the excitement going with sessions on low-code, pro-code, and everything in between.
From product showcases to live demos, there was something for everyone. Whether you were deep into the tech side or just starting out, the event offered so many ways to get inspired by what’s possible on the Now Platform.
A Perfect Ending: Experts Dinner at Gasthaus Butz:
To cap off the day, we gathered for an incredible Experts dinner at Gasthaus Butz. Think cozy Bavarian vibes, plates overflowing with schnitzel, and a fantastic group of people. It was the perfect setting for connecting over great food, sharing laughs, and stories. The energy in the room was contagious, and it was just the perfect ending to an incredible few days in Munich.
Prost, Munich! Until next time!
