Lauren Bites into the Big Apple: NYC World Forum Recap
A few weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2024 NYC World Forum in none other than the vibrant and iconic New York City. As my first-ever ServiceNow event, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. I had the pleasure of connecting with so many amazing individuals from our Community—people whose contributions have been nothing short of inspiring. Highlights include our Developer Meetup at Hack Manhattan, and the MVP and Expert Dinner at Boqueria!
November 6th: NYC Developer Meetup
Upon arrival, we headed over to Hack Manhattan, a public makerspace in the heart of the city, dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and community through a wide range of projects, from electronics, to textiles, to 3D printing. Developers from all over, from Canada, to New York Natives, engaged in discussions about the new Xanadu release, and gained valuable insights regarding Now Assist.
The meetup was a great opportunity to engage with individuals involved in our community, from those who have participated in the ServiceNow NextGen Program, to top contributors in the ServiceNow ecosystem.
November 7th: World Forum NYC
The big day I had been anticipating finally arrived! The Community Pavilion was buzzing with energy, and attendees packed the seats for each expert-led session. I had the chance to chat with some experts attending their first World Forum, just like me. I was excited to see them present their sessions and even got to sit in on a few myself.
I also had the pleasure of managing our CreatorCon NextPhotoBooth, powered by Next Experience. It was a fun and engaging experience, offering the perfect opportunity to connect with many partners and ServiceNow employees.
And, I may have taken a few photos myself along the way! I may have taken a few photos as well…
After the event, we made our way to Boqueria, a lively Barcelona-inspired tapas bar, for the MVP and Experts dinner. We dug into some delicious papas bravas while chatting about the sessions from the day, our favorite travel spots, and sharing some wild travel stories. It was such a great chance to connect with members of our Community on a deeper level and celebrate their amazing contributions. I had an unforgettable time with my team and the incredible people who make our Community truly special!
So long, New York!
