I built a simple Facilities Maintenance Request app using Creator Studio. The app is designed to streamline facilities maintenance processes for both requesters and facilities personnel by capturing the necessary information upfront on the submission form and automatically routing the request to the appropriate team based on location or issue. It provides real-time status tracking, notifications, and platform analytics for continuous improvement.

Creator Studio made it extremely easy to quickly bring this app idea to life with its no-code solution interface, allowing me to build a fully functioning application in less than one hour!

I built a simple yet powerful Classroom Equipment Request app using Creator Studio. The app is designed to help faculty and staff streamline their equipment requests for classes and events. With this solution, faculty members can submit requests for the equipment they need, whether it’s projectors, microphones, or any other classroom technology, in just a few clicks. The request form captures all the relevant details, such as the type of equipment, the date and time needed, and any special instructions.

Once submitted, the request is automatically routed to an approval group. This ensures that requests are reviewed and validated quickly by the appropriate decision-makers. Upon approval, the system creates a task for the fulfilment team to take action, ensuring the requested equipment is delivered on time. The best part is that faculty and staff receive notifications at every step of the process, from the initial submission to the final approval or rejection, keeping them fully informed without the need for back-and-forth emails.

One of the key advantages of this app is that it reduces the administrative overhead typically associated with equipment requests, helping to eliminate delays and miscommunication. Additionally, the built-in tracking and notifications provide users with full visibility into the status of their requests, enhancing their overall experience.

Excited to share that I completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge!

I built a laptop replacement request app that streamlines the process of getting employee laptops replaced easily who are experiencing hardware issues they can use this application hassle free without chasing anyone into the organization. This user-friendly request form is designed to help staff smoothly report malfunctioning laptops, outdated models, or situations where a more powerful system is required for daily tasks.

The request process includes options for specifying the current device, reason for replacement (e.g., damaged, slow performance, or end-of-life), and any specific model preferences based on job roles. Once submitted, the form is routed to the IT support team for evaluation and approval, ensuring that the laptop replacement is processed in a timely manner.

To ensure transparency, requestors can track the status of their request throughout each stage of the workflow. Notifications will be sent when the request is approved, when the new laptop is ready for pickup, and when any additional action is required from the user. IT team will handle the data migration process, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal business impact.

This service ensures that employees always have access to up-to-date technology, reducing productivity losses due to hardware malfunctions or obsolescence.

Creator Studio is such an amazing application that made it possible with its no-code solution interface, that helped me to build a proper functioning application within minutes!

By leveraging ServiceNow's Creator Studio, I was able to quickly fashion an application expediting a custom work order process. Through a catalog item, tailored workflow and a workspace view, both end users and agents are able to quickly resolve their work order needs within ServiceNow.

Through Creator Studio, I was able to create automated assignment routing, notifications to both the assignment group(s) and end user on status tracking, as well as design the dispatch/technician view. Though this solution is heavily inspired by Field Service Management, it would also enable organizations that service clients on-site to have issues reported within ServiceNow!

Key features include:

  • Recipe Discovery: Explore thousands of recipes by cuisine, dietary preferences, ingredients, or meal type.
  • Step-by-Step Instructions: Detailed cooking instructions with photos and videos to guide you through each step.

The request form captures all the relevant details such as ingredients, quantity, direction and any special instructions. Once submitted the request is automatically routed to an approval group composed by chefs around the world. This ensures all recipes are reviewed and validated quickly. Upon approval, the system creates a task for the chefs to replicate , ensuring the recipe is valid and can be used by anyone.

I am excited to share that I have successfully completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge!

I had the opportunity to use ServiceNow’s innovative Creator Studio to build a simple yet powerful Mobile Repair Request application called "Wireless Gadgets and Repair (We Fix Your Crack Habit)". What amazed me was the speed and simplicity—within just 15 minutes, I was able to develop a functional request form for end users, seamlessly accessible through the Service Portal, Workspace, and Mobile Application.

The process was incredibly smooth, thanks to the low-code/no-code capabilities of Creator Studio. The platform's intuitive interface allowed me to add and customize all the necessary fields with minimal effort. I also utilized Playbooks to automate critical workflows, such as assigning repair requests to the appropriate technicians, generating tasks for them, and triggering email notifications to keep everyone informed. This level of automation ensured that every repair request could be handled efficiently and without manual intervention.

The repair request form includes fields such as Phone, Phone Model, Issue with the Phone, Appointment Date, and a Short Description. End users can submit a request through either the mobile application or the service portal. Once all the details are filled in, a request is generated. The attached playbook will trigger an email notification to technician and assign him a task.

The final piece of the puzzle was configuring a dedicated Workspace for end users. Using Creator Studio's Workspace builder. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Creator Studio. Its low-code approach makes it an ideal tool not only for developers but also for business users who want to create applications quickly without deep technical knowledge. The top-notch UI and user-friendly experience make app development faster, more enjoyable, and highly productive.

Hi @laurenmcman,

I created an Automated Employee Onboarding Tracker using Creator Studio. The goal was to simplify & automate the onboarding process for new hires.

How It Works:

  1. Streamlined Onboarding Form: The app begins with a comprehensive onboarding request form where HR representatives input new hire details such as designation, department, start date, reporting managers etc.

  2. Task Automation: Once the form is submitted, the app automatically generates a tailored checklist of onboarding tasks based on the new hire’s role and department. This includes setting up accounts, asset allocation, id creations etc.

  3. Dynamic Routing: The app routes each task to the relevant team members—such as IT for account setup & asset allocation and Admin for ID creation.

  4. Real-Time Status Updates: HR and managers can track the progress of each task in real-time through a centralized dashboard. This dashboard provides an overview of completed tasks, pending actions, and any delays.

  5. Automated Notifications: The app sends automated reminders and notifications to both HR and team members responsible for completing tasks. This helps keep everyone on track and ensures timely completion of onboarding activities.

  6. Analytics and Reporting: The app includes built-in analytics to track key metrics such as average onboarding time, task completion rates, and areas needing improvement. This data is crucial for continuously refining the onboarding process.

Creator Studio’s no-code environment made it incredibly efficient to develop this app. Within an hour, I was able to build a fully functional onboarding tracker that streamlines the process, improves efficiency, what not. This app not only saves time but also ensures a smooth and organized onboarding process for every new employee.
