Hi @laurenmcman

Using ServiceNow Creator Studio, I developed a Meeting Room Reservation application that makes it easier to manage meeting spaces. The app leverages a Record Producer to allow users to quickly reserve rooms and a Playbook to streamline and automate the booking process.

App Highlights:-
-->Users can easily reserve meeting rooms by filling out a simple form via the Record Producer.
-->The Playbook helps automate tasks like booking confirmation and sending reminders.
-->Mobile-friendly and designed for seamless room management.

Experience with Creator Studio:- Creator Studio's low-code platform made it simple to build the Record Producer and Playbook, which streamlined meeting room bookings and task automation. I found it to be an effective way to enhance daily operations while reducing manual processes.

Finally had a chance to test out Creator Studio! I built an app as part of the #BuildWithCreatorStudio Challenge.

I built a Conference Room Booking app. The app is designed to allow employees the ability to request conference rooms seamlessly using a simple form. This foregoes the need for manual calendars and reduces the probability of overbooking. Upon submission of the request form, the workflow is triggered and the request is either approved or rejected depending on the date and time selected for the size of the conference room chosen. Email notifications will be sent in both cases to notify the employee of their status.

Using Creator Studio was such an easy and quick process. I look forward to creating more complex apps using it in the near future.

My app is also posted on LinkedIn, please view it here: LinkedIn

I built a simple Leave Request app to address common inefficiencies in manual leave request processes. In many organizations, handling leave requests manually often leads to delays, miscommunication, and errors in tracking leave balances, causing frustration for both employees and managers. The app I developed eliminates these pain points by streamlining the entire process.

The Leave Request app allows employees to easily submit their leave requests through a user-friendly interface. Upon submission, the app automatically checks the employee's available leave balance. If the balance is insufficient, the request is flagged or rejected, saving time and preventing invalid submissions. If the balance is sufficient, the request is routed to the employee’s manager for review.

For managers, the app simplifies the approval process by consolidating all pending requests in one place. With a click, they can approve or reject a request, and the app immediately updates the employee's leave balance and records. Managers can also leave comments or feedback, which the employee can view.

A key feature of the app is the automatic update of the employee's record upon approval. This real-time adjustment ensures that leave balances are always up to date, reducing the risk of miscalculations or discrepancies. Additionally, the app logs all transactions, making it easy for HR teams to audit or track historical leave data if necessary.

By automating the leave request process, the app reduces administrative overhead, enhances transparency, and improves communication between employees, managers, and HR. This not only boosts efficiency but also ensures a smoother and more accurate leave management experience.

I had a great experience using Creator Studio. I was mainly curious to see how it differed from Catalog Builder and right away found the single step automations to be a huge upgrade allowed with being able to create user and fulfiller roles.

I’m happy to share that I have completed the #BUILDWITHCREATORSTUDIO challenge from ServiceNow!! 🌟

I’ve developed a Leave Request Management app using ServiceNow Creator Studio that streamlines and automates the leave request process, making it efficient for both employees and managers. With this app, employees can easily submit their leave requests, including start and end dates, type of leave, and a detailed description for manager review. The process then flows through a two-step approval system: first, the manager reviews and approves the request, and then it’s sent to a specific group for final validation.

Thanks to ServiceNow Creator Studio’s intuitive no-code interface, I was able to build this solution quickly and efficiently. The flexible design tools allowed me to implement workflows and tailor the app to our organization’s needs without writing complex code.

It’s exciting to see how ServiceNow Creator Studio empowers users to design and deploy powerful apps quickly, transforming ideas into practical solutions that streamline business processes.

Hello @laurenmcman,

I've completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio Challenge.

I have created a very basic online videogame purchasing app using Creator Studio. This app allows users to purchase a variety of videogames on a single platform, both in hard and digital copies, though it's just a simple prototype. As a result, the user's traceability factor is decreased because everything can be recorded and monitored in one forum. This app currently provides a selection of notable games for almost every possible genre that has been released in the last 30 years, with a focus on platforms like Windows, PlayStation4, PlayStation5, XBOX and X360. There are no limitations on the number of games users can add to each platform. Users are additionally given an option to add any game that they would still like to buy but cannot locate in the app's database.

The flow:
1) After opening the request form, the user chooses every item they want to buy.
2) The user must enter their Address before submitting the request because it is a necessary field for the things to be delivered. Other details such as Name, Contact No. and Email Id will get auto-populated.
3) The request gets successfully submitted.
4) The user gets an email confirming the submission of the request.
5) The appropriate team is allocated to the request.
6) The corresponding team receives a child task to work on processing the request.
7) Should the user choose a game that is not stored in the app's database, a new additional task is generated. Getting the game from an outside seller will be the main emphasis of this task. Once a seller is identified, user will be contacted by the team to finalize the purchase of the additional game. The request will be closed when all outstanding tasks are finished and the items are scheduled for delivery.
9) User will be notified of the same via an email.

Building the app was definitely faster and easier with Creator Studio than it had been for me up to this point. It is simple to use, time-saving, and intuitive.

Project Overview: IT Tools Access Request Application 1.JPG2.JPG3.JPG4.JPGCopy of #BUILD WITH.jpgin ServiceNow Creator Studio

In this project, a streamlined workflow for handling tools access requests was developed in ServiceNow's Creator Studio. The process aims to automate and simplify the approval process for employees requesting access to various tools, while ensuring clear communication and timely task management.

Workflow Steps:

  1. Request Submission: The workflow begins with the employee (requestor) submitting a tools access request. This submission triggers the approval process within ServiceNow.

  2. Manager Approval: Once the request is submitted, it is routed to the requestor’s manager for approval. The manager receives a notification and reviews the details of the request. The manager can either approve or reject the request based on their assessment of the requestor's need for access.

  3. Approval Path:

    • If Approved: Upon manager approval, the system automatically generates a Service Catalog Task (SCTask). This SCTask is assigned to the relevant team responsible for providing access to the requested tools. The task remains active until the access is granted. After the completion of the SCTask, an automated email is sent to the requestor, confirming that the tools access has been successfully granted.
    • If Rejected: If the request is rejected by the manager, no SCTask is created. Instead, the system triggers an automated email to notify the requestor that their tools access request was denied. The rejection email includes details and potential next steps for the requestor.

Benefits:

  • Automation: Reduces manual intervention by automating task creation and email notifications.
  • Transparency: Provides clear communication to requestors at each stage of the process.
  • Efficiency: Ensures timely handling of access requests with minimal delays.

Hello @laurenmcman  and team,

Excited to share that I completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge!

I built a simple Telecomm Services Application with the help of Creator Studio.

Telecomm Services Application ultimately helps the end users sort out the issues related to the internet/Broadband.

How it works?

1. Submission of request: The end user who is facing some issue with internet service will Submit a request by specifying the Broadband type the end user using.

2. Issue routing and Resolution: Once the request is received from the end user the agent with the help of designed playbook will check the type of Broadband the end- user using and assign the respective task to appropriate group and resolve the issue the end user facing.

3. Notifications: Notification will be sent to the end user when the respective group comes up with the resolution for the issue.

The Creator Studio feature made this experience extremely simpler and faster by configuring through Creator Studio Template and with its no code solution interface. It has reduced the effort of designing complex apps by giving wonderful playbook features and awesome UI to build the portal forms and view it in different way like Mobile, Portal etc.
