What’s Creator Studio? 

Creator Studio is a no-code tool that lets you whip up apps fast, no waiting on IT. It’s perfect for those simple, request-based workflows that need to get done without the hassle. The best part? It’s easy to use and comes with built-in governance, so your apps stay compliant and good to go, without any extra effort on your end.

Already using App Engine Studio? No problem. Creator Studio plays nice with it, letting you knock out the simpler apps quickly while saving AES for the bigger, more complex projects. How Do I Enter?

Jumping into the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge is simple. Here's how you can get started:

1. Set Up Your PDI (Personal Developer Instance): If you don't already have Creator Studio in your environment, go to your ServiceNow Developer Portal and either log into or spin up a PDI. It’s free and easy! Just make sure you install Creator Studio.

2. Build Your App: Now’s the time to create! Feel free to let your imagination run wild or keep it simple.

3. Share Your Build: When your app is complete, submit a 300-word description, a video, or an infographic that explains what your app does, and your experience using Creator Studio. Be sure to share it on both in the comments of this blog and on social media using #BuildWithCreatorStudio

Then sit back, relax, and wait for your swag redemption email!

Terms and Conditions 

No purchase is necessary. #BuildWithCreatorStudio Challenge is open only to individuals at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. The Challenge begins September 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time ("PDT") and ends on October 8, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. PDT. 

Entrants must respond to the official forum with a 1) Screenshot, graphic, or video showing their app built using Creator Studio or 2) a 300 minimum word description of the app they built with a screenshot using Creator Studio AND entrants must post their video or blog into the ServiceNow Community Developer forum here AND share it on LinkedIn or Twitter with #BuildWithCreatorStudio Challenge on their post AND the social media post will be linked to their forum post.  

The Submission must be your own, original work; The Submission must contain a relevant reason/response to the prompt of Creator Studio; The Submission must meet the format and size requirements of the social platform used to enter; The Submission must conform with any applicable social media platform terms. 

The prize includes the official 2024 #BuildWithCreatorStudio Mug, while supplies last. Government employees are excluded from receiving the mug but can participate in the challenge. The brand of mug may vary. Mug may take up to 4 weeks or longer to arrive once ordered. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $15 USD. 

The ServiceNow Community reserves the right to access email data provided by the entrant in order to reach out to individuals who have completed the challenge. Final find out sometime from my busy day to complete my #ServiceNow #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge completely.🎉

I have created "Mandatory External Training Confirmation" App which will help employees to raise request to get approval and confirmation from Manager and HR L&D team.

Problem Statement:
In many organisation, we have multiple mandatory training and certificates to be completed but it is sometimes difficult to manage all training in one platform and may need help from existing training platforms like Udemy, Coresera, Nowlearning etc.
Sometimes there is a requirement for getting external certificates also like ServiceNow Certificates or ITIL, etc which is present on external certificate.
To get it reflected on internal portal, lots of manual approvals over emails are required and it take manual effort to update on system for HR team.

Solution:
This App will automate the process to raise request for approval with proper screenshots and proof, which will go for Manager's approval and then L&D HR head, and once approved it can be updated on internal platform.
Reminders for approval pending will help to streamline and fasten the process.

This automated workflow was built entirely using ServiceNow's Creator Studio. It’s incredibly user-friendly, allowing me to build a fully functional app in a short time, all without writing a single line of code. It’s a fantastic no-code platform for building apps quickly and efficiently! 🚀

I’m excited to share that I’ve developed an Assignment Submission Form as part of the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge using ServiceNow’s Creator Studio!

In today’s busy educational environment, managing assignment submissions can often be a significant challenge for both students and teachers. To address this, I created a form that simplifies the submission process, allowing students to easily submit their work while helping educators manage those submissions effectively and efficiently.

Once students submit their assignments, the professor will receive a notification for approval. If the assignment is approved, it means that the work has been accepted, and the student will receive a confirmation notification to let them know their submission was successful. This timely feedback is essential, as it keeps students informed about the status of their work and reinforces their efforts.

However, if the professor decides to reject the assignment, the student will receive a notification prompting them to resubmit their work. This feedback loop is crucial for student growth, as it helps them understand where improvements are needed and encourages them to enhance their submissions.

I am truly grateful to Creator Studio for providing such an incredible no-code platform. It enabled me to develop this useful tool quickly and efficiently, showcasing the power of innovation in education. During this challenge, I developed the Sports Facility Booking app, which helps players to book their playing slot and pay the fee online.

1. Sports Facility Booking application assists players to book their playing slot and pay the fee online.
2. SFB app has two game types for 1 hour slot - BoxCricket and Badminton
3. BoxCricket can be played in two boxes - Box1 and Box2
4. Badminton can be played in two Courts - Court1 and Court2
5. Price per hour for any game is Rs 500
6. Once a slot status is FREE, user can click on book button that navigates to payment page
7. Once payment is successful/failed, SMS notification is sent to User Mobile and Slot Status is updated accordingly
8. Only admin can change the Prices or slot timings
9. Guest User cannot modify any existing booking record

Here is an app I built using Creator Studio as part of #BuildWithCreatorStudio.challenge!

I built a simple application "Feedback Form HR Connect" using ServiceNow's Creator Studio.

Below are the steps I have implemented:
Step 1: In Xanadu we can get the creator studio automatically. If you are using different release need to install the respective plugin.
Step 2: Built a Feedback form of HR Connect - where you can give the self opinion.
Step 3: Created an automation to approve the request - Once the request is raised, it will go to employee's manager for the approval.
Step 4: Created an automation to assign the task and send the email to requestor - Once the manager approves the request, Email will be sent to requestor and task will be assigned to group.


Creator Studio made it effortless to quickly turn this app's no-code solution interface into a reality.

Introducing the Visitor Access App, a comprehensive solution designed to streamline and secure the visitor management process for organizations. This innovative app allows requestors to effortlessly submit visitor details, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in experience for business clients and interview candidates alike.

The Visitor Access App simplifies the process by collecting essential visitor information, including the visitor's name, email ID, and the type of visit—whether it is a business-related visit or an interview. This categorization is crucial as it determines the subsequent approval workflow, ensuring that each type of visit is handled appropriately.

Once the visitor details are submitted, the request undergoes a streamlined approval process. The designated approvers receive notifications and can review the details promptly. This ensures that all visits are authorized and monitored, enhancing the security and integrity of the organization.

Upon approval, the visitor receives a digital visitor pass via email. This pass includes vital information such as the visit start date, time, and end date, clearly defining the access duration. I am very excited to share that I've successfully completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge by creating the ID Card Request app to help employee’s request new ID card and admin team to manage the request with approvals.

This app makes it easy to communicate, track and organize employee ID card requests reducing manual activities.

Using the #CreatorStudio was super simple. Its drag-and-drop interface allowed me to design the form and automate workflows without coding!

I'm excited to share that I've completed the hashtag#BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge! 🎉

I created the Graduation Certification Request app to help students getting their certificates once all their exams gets completed.

How It Works: Once the student completes his/her exams they need to apply for Graduation certificate. Once they apply for the request an approval will be triggered to respective HOD. If HOD approves it will go the respective assignment group in-order to dispatch the certificate. If HOD rejects the request will be closed.

Using the#CreatorStudio was super simple. Its drag-and-drop interface allowed me to design the form and automate workflows without coding!
