ServiceNow Learning 111: Fix if the formula indicator score shows untruncated values in PA

Hi All,

Today we will discuss about what to do if an formula indicator shows an untruncated values.

A formula indicator such as ([[Number of new incidents]] - [[Number of resolved incidents]]) / 10 still shows the untruncated values.

Issue:

When displayed on a scorecard, a formula indicator with precision 0 does not respect the precision setting. For example, a value of 0.33 does not correctly round to 0 on a chart. Tooltips and the Scores tab show the values with the correct precision.

1. Create a formula indicator with a formula such as ([[Number of new incidents]] - [[Number of resolved incidents]]) / 3.
2. Set the formula indicator Precision to 0.
3. Collect data for the indicator.
4. View the indicator scorecard.

Fix:

Change the formula Precision to 1 or 2.

It will calculate up to 2 precision value.
