ServiceNow Things to Know 22: Create a Catalog Item (Record Producer) using Catalog Builder

Hello Everyone,

 

  1. Search Catalog Builder in Filter Navigator, hit enter and then it will open a new tab to use catalog builder.

  1. Click Continue. You will redirect to some catalog item templates to create a catalog item. I have selected AES Record Producer template which will be modified to create appropriate questions.

  1. Click Use this item template to proceed. Here we will enter all the appropriate details.

  1. After filling the details tab with item name and short description.

  1. Add target table for which this item will create a record.

  1. Select Catalog and Catalog Categories from here.

  1. Variables can be created here as follows:-

  1. Portal Settings can be changed here.

  1. Define User Criteria as below:-

  1. Review and Submit the details.

11. After Click on Submit go to Catalog Builder Dashboard check our catalog item “How can I help you?” that we have created.
