Considering only task extended tables in the instance is there any way to create a report or PA widget to check the number of custom fields that are created on the task as well as task extended table ?
In terms building a report based off the number of custom fields for a task may or may not be possible. But in terms, of building a report based off selections from those custom fields is entirely possible. Here is a reference on building reports based off extended tables:
