Able to submit without filling Mandatory field (Journal field) in Geneva Release

Hi All
Recently we are facing some issue where we can save the form without filling mandatory field (work notes - Journal field) in Geneva .
In our case,we are encountering this issue in Task level where we are using work notes from Parent form.
Has anybody encountered such a scenario before? Could someone please help me in understanding the root cause?

This is not standard behavior in Geneva or any other release. Check your UI action closely. Someone may have used the action name "sysverb_cancel" which allows you to submit without filling in mandatory fields.

It is working perfectly in Fuji..we are facing this issue only after geneva upgrade.that too only for Work notes(journal field).for other fields it is working perfectly

Is work notes being made mandatory via UI policy or at the dictionary entry?

We are using OnSubmit client script..
I have also tried the same in UI Policy
