Hello,
I have checked the interaction table, and I do not see additional comments field in it.
However, I have added a custom field in interaction table, type 'Journal input'. After that I have configured the Agent Workspace view by adding the new field. As a result, you can reply via the new new field.
Of course, you need to configure the activity formatter, so it includes the new field.

Hi Boyan. This is great information!
I was able to add a "Customer Visible Comments" field for the interactions. Is visible within the tool itself, but I can't seem to figure out how to add it to the agent workspace.
Could you direct me where that would be?

This is by design to not include journal field on interaction table since interaction record is like placeholder.
You need to associate any table based record from interaction record and then use comment field on these like incident.
