Add App-links (like "companyportal:") to knowledge articles

We would like to place custom app links in Knowledge Articles to make it easier for our Employees to get where they need to go. As an example, the link URL would look like "companyportal:ApplicationId=[guid]" and clicking it would open the associated installed application. However, when I save a KA with the link formatted as above, it gets sanitized and removes the URL. Is there a way to allow certain custom app protocols (like "companyportal:") in ServiceNow? I'm a fairly fresh System Admin so I may have not found the right documentation yet, but any help would be appreciated!

Hi,
Follow the below steps:
1) In Article body, click on the insert link .
2) When editing/adding the link to Article make sure to select option other than default None . For ex: you can selec the option Open in new Tab, like below.
3)After saving, click on the View Article to verify:
4)Then Click on the link, it should be working:
