Best Solution for Instance Development

Hi There,

I want to know for some possible way or solution on fixing some instance that has been live already.

I will give an example

I have ProdIns 1 which is live already and have many tables, catalogs, datas and scripts on that one but its kind of messy and i want to make another one which is to transfer it to another instance. Im currently researching on  Cloning but im not sure if cloning is the best solution.

I attached an image of what i want to do. Since my 3 other instance which i used from prodlive (prod dev, prod uat, prodlive) i already been using and i want to transfer my prodlive to my other instance which is the dev (dev sub, dev uat, dev prod) to fix the messy things ive done in my prodlive. 

The methods im choosing is either via UpdateSet or Cloning. 

If theres a possible way or another method that would help me on this one. Thank you
