I've look around and not sure if anyone has done this yet or not.
With Workflows, they system would add an entry to the Workflow Activity field in the sysapproval_approver table.
How can we replicate this using Flow? The current OOB Activity "request approval" isn't notating the approval record like WF did.
I not seeing a way to set field values in the OOB Activity itself. maybe a Do in Parallel?

ideally there is no major purpose for that field getting populated
OOB that field is inactive in instance
It simply tells information about this approval got generated because of which workflow activity, mostly from troubleshooting or debugging point of view.
This cannot be achieved using flow as Flows and workflows are different.

Not really and saddened that its deprecated.
I found it usefully to help End Users (E.G. Help Desk, User Support, Approval Notifications) where in the process the item is or what Approval this is for.
Many times, a user may be included in multiple approval groups. E.G. Manager, Change Review, or CAB Approval, etc.
But thanks.
