How to add a new field in RITM record and make it visible only for a specific catalog item

Also, How to make that new field fetch information present from a particular variable

These are 2 things

Field - We create in Table and it is customization

Variable  - You can create as per catalog item need.

Need more details to guide you better buddy.

Thanks for update. Before you create a new field please check , which is best table to create so that in future this field can be used as well.

What type of field it is? what value it store?

Hi @MohammedYaseen What type of field you want to create and to fetch from variable what is the variable type?

You can create a field and with help of UI policy you can show it on the form.

your UI Policy will be on RITM table

cond: item is "your catalog item name"

UI Policy action: select your custom field and set visible to true.

now to fetch the variable value there are 2 ways with help of BR and client script.

1. onLoad client script

script:

var answer = g_form.getValue('variables.variablename);

g_form.setValue('fieldname',answer );

Business Rule: before insert,update checked

cond: item is your catalog name

script:

current.fieldname = current.variables.variablename;
