Adding a new Catalog item Ui action button in service operation workspace

When we are viewing a request record in a classic UI , ITIL user have the ability to "add new item" to an existing request, but the option does not exit in the service operations workspace 

Looking for a similar way to create the same UI action in the SOW that will allow ITIL user to add another catalog item to an existing request still in the requested state. The button would not be available once the request has approval records created

I think that hasn’t been posted to Next Experience or WS. The reason is that it’s not a good practice to add an item to an existing request. Still, let me try to clarify or understand better.
