Adding a Notes Field to the Contract form to show up in Activity

Good morning,

It's been requested that I add a notes field in the contract form.   On the wiki there is documentation about the Journal fields but I am not sure how to create them.

I checked the "additional comments" field on the incident for is a "Journal_Input" type.   On Form Design I tried to find this in the available fields but only see Journal.

How do I get the Journal_Input field?

What we need is for this field to work just like additional comments where the field clears and the notes are saved below in the activities along with the rest of the changes.

Please let me know what I am missing if you can.

HI Carl,

You can use the Journal field and it will behave like comments does. The details between the two are not of concern in this case.

it works.   I tried with a string but didn't try the journal as I didn't see the _input.   Thank you for the quick response!
