Hi Team,
I m new to Service now. I have created a lookup table(Table A) for my Application in Service now. I m referenced it in one other table(Table B) as reference field. While entering values in Table B, its not showing the reference suggestions automatically. After surfing through service now wiki, in TableB , for the reference column, i added the autoComplete dictionary attribute and after that, it worked fine..
Questions
- Is this the rit way to do it? Because when i referenced service now Sys_user table, autoComplete suggestions are displayed by default....
- Also, my requirement is more like, it allows the user either to choose from the autoComplete value or to type values of their own choice. Which "Field Type" should match this criteria? How to achieve this?
P.S : Please treat both questions independently

Pradeep,
Thanks. First Question is cleared now..
I think you didnt get my second question.. Traditional auto Complete in JQuery Textboxes will allow you to choose values from auto Complete suggestion and at the same time, if the value which i would like to enter is not available in the suggestion, it will still accept the newly entered value in the field..
Do we such feature available? Based on your response, i will go back to the BA team and then change the requirement a bit. Thats why. Thanks and Sorry for inconvenience.

Yes Thanks Pradeep. I assume that feature cannot be implemented using any other component as well in Service now.(I mean other than Reference field component)
Its final no more queries
