Adding user to knowledge manager field is not adding the role to the user

Good Afternoon All, 

 

I have an issue on a knowledge base where when adding a user to the knowledge_manager field it stating it will add the knowledge_manager field, and the display message is shown. But when I check the user that was added it does now show the knowledge_manager role as part of the users roles. This is when I add a user to the field as a user with Knowledge_manager role. When I do this as admin it adds the role to the user. 

 

Anyone know what might be causing this issue?

Hi @Luke James ,

 

Can you check ACLs on "sys_user_has_role" table if its restricting to create/write for knowledge Managers role.

I've checked the ACL's on that table, but there hasn't been any changes from the OOTB ACL's.
