I am using the Flow designer for the creation of a catalog task. There are a number of variables from the catalog item, but I only want specific ones to show up on the SCTASK record. When I use the "create catalog task", I choose the catalog item. and all the variables are available on the left. I chose which ones I wanted, moved them to the right, and saved. When I execute the flow, it creates the SCTASK record, but all of the variables are there.
We are currently running San Diego.

That's rough. It looks like you did it correctly. I still use workflow for most of this but if nobody offers a solution for this to work correctly, there is a band aid fix.
You can create a ui policy on the catalog item to only have it apply on catalog tasks to hide the fields you dont want to show.

Hey Mark,
You could also check if variables are marked global, if it is true they will show up regardless of the flow setting.
Before you update this setting confirm the variables are not shared that may impact other items. or use UI policy as suggested above.
Hope this helps!
Thanks

I checked and all of the variables are set to "golbal=false". I'll try a UI policy.
Thanks

Hi Mark,
I'm having this same experience. Did you ever determine why it was happening? It seems like a possible shortcoming of Flow Designer!
Thanks,
Kristen
