A user group wants to be able to edit the "Class" field (sys_class_name - on base configuration item table "cmdb") on CMDB CI records at will through the ServiceNow UI (not scripts). This field is read-only by default. What are the risks and future impacts to be aware of if this group is allowed to edit the field? Can someone send links to reference materials on this question?
