Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Helsinki currently run on Angular 1.5?

I've spent the past 3 months training in Angular2

I certainly hope that future releases of ServiceNow will migrate over to the Angular2 framework!

Any of you SN employees have insider knowledge?

Go to the stats.do page and click on "Open Source Software". You will get a pdf that shows for Helsinki:

angular.js-1.5.3

We do support though:

angular-strap-2.0.0

Angular2 is still pretty new. I don't expect to see it in Istanbul. I haven't heard about Angular2 in Jakarta (mid-2017) yet. The product teams are still putting together the features going in to that release. I'll ping some friends on the product management team and see what I can find out.

The only thing I can think of would be something like how we did it with UI pages and UI scripts before Service Portal came along.
