Hi Chuck
Now that Jakarta is almost here, can you say if it will support AngularJS 2 or not?
Thanks
Flemming

Hi Flemming,
I have not heard any announcements when we will support AngularJS 2. If it was in Jakarta, I'm sure I would have heard something.
Based on my limited knowledge, v2 is significantly different from v1 that it is not a direct upgrade, but requires some code refactoring. That would be a huge impact to our customers, which is something we desperately try to avoid when it comes to upgrades.

Hi Chuck,
Thanks for following this up. I had a similar question - but was based on ServiceNow native support to build Angular 4 applications...so the technology has moved on since the original question was posted!
From what I am reading - Angular is the future and AngularJS v1.x is now effectively a legacy framework. (https://angular.io/guide/upgrade ).
That being the case - it is going to be hugely important to understand the roadmap of ServiceNow native support for Angular - to enable investment decisions in training to be made and also to avoid deploying potential AngularJS technical debt.
Please do keep us informed if you hear anything back from the product teams - as I suspect this is likely to become quite a hot topic...
Thanks and Regards,
Param Tiwana

Thank you both, Chuck and Sergiu for your replies. Our administration has authorized and is fully backing as much Angular & Typescript training as I can get. For the past 3 months I've been steadily on Lynda.com learning Angular2 so I'm quite anxious for ServiceNow to fully support it.
After reading your response though, Chuck, I will be seeking explicit training for AngularJS 1.x so I can master the new Service Portal.

David,
Did you ever resolve this? We are in the same position and having some issues getting Angular2 to work on a ServiceNow form. I've posted a question on the Community to see if anyone has done this and so far haven't received any useful comments.
