Approval from a single selected person from a group of people.

Hi

I am in need of some assistance with creating an approval flow.

In essence the catalog item asks the requestor to select a person (from a Group) to approve the request.

For some reason the variables are greyed out, but I was looking to select the variable the person has requested in select your general manager.

Hi @RichardWins ,

I replicated the same issue in my PDI, where I selected a reference variable named Requester.
In Flow Designer, just like you, I used the Get Catalog Variables action and then the Ask For Approval action. It displays the Requester variable, and it is available for dot-walking. Please try it again.

If it’s still not working, you can use a flow variable, store the value of the reference variable in the flow variable, and then use that flow variable in the Ask For Approval action.

If you find my response helpful in resolving your query, please mark it as helpful.

Thank you!

Regards,
Keshav

Hello @RichardWins

Is new variable added over catalog item recently if yes then do remove step 1 and redo it.

If no try to reload the flow studio again also try to clear cache of instance or browser.

If my response has helped you hit helpful button and if your concern is solved do mark my response as correct.

Thanks & Regards
