"Let's sync your Gmail account with your ServiceNow PDI"
As we all know that ServiceNow is no longer supporting the email functionalities in PDI's🤔.
But still, you can customize it in your own way to connect ServiceNow & your email account😀.
Here👇is the quick solution to handle it... ✨
1. Configure the emails accounts with SMTP & POP3 protocols.
2. You need to setup 2-way authentication for your Gmail account and section of 'manage your google account', you can create the app password (token) from the security section and provide it in the email accounts along with your email address as mentioned in the image below.
3. Enable the email sending & receiving to true from email properties.
4. From the email diagnostic section, you can check the connections of email accounts.
Note: - Simple mail transfer protocol for mail transmission (SMTP) and Post office protocol (POP3) is used to access the mailbox that is stored in the email server. Hence, it is mandatory to configure these protocols.
