My approval state is set to Cancelled even though the approver rejected. I am expecting a value of "rejected". Is there something wrong with my configuration?

Hi @DanielG
In the approval action configure the rule as "ApprovedOrRejected" instead of using the or condition explicitly.

Hello @DanielG
I believe you are doing great.
I just got chance to replicate the scenario, but my approvals are not mark as cancelled even if it is rejected. I request you to recreate the subflow you are calling from your flow which I assume by looking screenshot as shared by you earlier.
I created a flow as below which calls a subflow.
Subflow as below
Now when I tested same here how my subflow worked.
If my response has helped you hit helpful button and if your concern is solved do mark my response as correct.

Hello @DanielG
Did you cross check that Due date specified in approval is contributing for approval state set as cancelled if approval or rejection is not done within two 2 days from date you are passing. So verify that. Also see if this is happening only for this approval or all approvals in instance. If it's only this try to verify due date as I doubt this only as per screenshot provided.
If my response has helped you hit helpful button and if your concern is solved do mark my response as correct.

Hello @Viraj Hudlikar. I just set the due date to "none" just to rule this out. It still sets the value to cancelled when the approver rejects.

Hello @DanielG
Ok that rules out now did you cross check is this happening on other approvals which are triggered from flow?
Also, in your instance is there any custom setup done where approval is marked rejected set approval to cancelled it can be through BR or any custom flow written on approval table.
You can turn on script tracer and perform approval and see what BR or script reverting approval from reject to cancelled.
