Assigned To Me / My Work

Is there anyway to include any case, incident, story, project (everything) that's assigned to someone, and they all be included in 'Assigned To' and 'My Work'? I created a new field in the Story form called 'Assigned validation tester'. Its a reference field using the 'user' table. We also have 'Assigned To' on the same Story form. Also a reference field using the 'user' table. I want to be able to have the person assigned to the 'Assigned validation tester' field of the Story, to show this Story in 'Assigned To Me' and 'My Work'.

A bit confusing in your post...are you saying you DO NOT want the assigned_to for your story form to show in their my work....OR are you saying if they're listed in the assigned_to OR assigned_validation_tester to show that in their assigned to me/my work link?

Please clarify.

But essentially, if you are admin or have appropriate permissions, you can mouse hover over the link you're talking about in the left-hand navigation area (if that's where this link is..you didn't state that either, but I'll assume) and click the pencil icon. From there...you can click the "Link Type" tab and see how you can filter through things. Your best bet is to try and go to the task table and look for assigned_to from there...which would pull in more than just incident...you may not be able to get your custom field pulled in to that and may have to make a secondary link (as most companies do...they have a: My Work - Incidents and then something like a My Work: RITM Tasks...etc).

Anyone in the 'Assigned To' field on the Story form, the Story # shows in 'My Work'. But, anyone in the 'Assigned validation tester', the Story # doesn't show in 'My Work'.

I've configured the default filter search for 'My Work' to include Task type of 'Story', but still, anyone in the 'Assigned validation tester' field on the Story, this Story doesn't show in their 'My Work'.
