Hello,
I am trying to use the step Create a user rather than using an existing user so that we can avoid disturbing other people to test with different roles. But the issue is, as a tester - I do not need to know what are the groups or roles that the other user has (eg. If need Major incident permission role), and just I should be able to create a user by copying another user, and impersonating with the new created user and execute the steps.
Is there any option like that to just copy an existing user to a new user?
Thanks.

Hello @Shan C
You mean to say you want to copy the existing user from the user table and want to use that users copy in the ATF?
If yes then I think as per my knowledge its not possible in the ATF to do so.
Let me know your views on this or correct me if I misunderstood anything.
Mark ✅Correct if this solves your query and also mark 👍Helpful if you find my response worthy based on the impact.
Regards,
Aniket

@Aniket Chavan Yes, exactly that's what I am looking for. For example, I might need an user with Major incident permission; and this user might have lot of other roles or groups added to him or as a dev/tester, I no need to know all these stuffs as admin will take care. If I need to know all these roles to be added, I would deviate from my actual test creation to some other task 🙂
Hope ServiceNow will add a feature for this just to copy an existing user and impersonate him to accomplish a task. This would make everyone's job easy.

Hi @Shan C
I am not sure this is what you looking for. For testing a user must have a specific role and in this case, you can take a Physical User/Actual user - who has access / required role to perform the test. Then go to user table and search for user and
and then rename it for your purpose and use in ATF.
Hope this is what you need.
