Attachment Field Not Supported in Workspace Record Producer

Hello Community,

In the multi-variable set of a record producer, we are able to include an attachment field type. However, when the same record producer is configured through a workspace component, the attachment field type is not supported. A screenshot of the issue is attached below.

Please let us know if anyone has encountered a similar issue and found a resolution.

By default, ServiceNow officially does not support the Attachment variable type inside a Multi-Row Variable Set (MRVS). If you bypass this limitation in the native/core UI using workarounds, the modern Configurable Workspace / Next Experience framework strictly enforces this restriction, leading to broken fields or rendering errors when the Record Producer is opened inside a Workspace component.

In ServiceNow, Multi-Row Variable Sets (MRVS) do not natively support the Attachment variable type. Refer Servicenow documentation: Service catalog variable sets 

In the Service Portal and standard UI, this limitation is enforced by the out-of-the-box (OOTB) Business Rule, "Restrict types for table variable set," which prevents attachment variables from being used within MRVS.

Similarly, when the same record producer is configured in a workspace component, the Attachment field type is neither supported nor available for selection.
