Attachment is not removed from activity stream

An agent has attached 2 attachments on to a case by mistake. We removed those attachments from the case but they are still showing up in the activity stream.
I know that we will not be able to find the record in sys_attachment table once an attachment is removed from the case. Is there anyway that we can remove these images from the activity stream as well. Thanks in advance.
