Australia release : key milstone for Platform Analytics

Australia (General availability planned on May 2026) is the key milestone for Platform Analytics (the new unified analytics capability of ServiceNow), since starting from that release, legacy dashboards will no longer be accessible and will be considered deprecated.

Note that this does not mean they are removed from the platform : they still exist, but are no longer accessible because the corresponding menus will now point to the new Platform Analytics module.

Starting with Australia, the old module will no longer be supported, beyond critical security fixes only.

ServiceNow is proposing a migration mechanism : Platform Analytics Migration Center , that will remain available in Australia and future releases.

From an adoption standpoint, the Core UI migration should not block the adoption of Platform Analytics. It is entirely possible to build new content in Platform Analytics immediately, while legacy dashboards continue functioning in parallel.

Now, since your customer is on a pre‑Australia release, and if the scenario of a direct upgrade to Australia is chosen, you need to anticipate by inventorying the Core UI dashboards to identify the critical ones that will require rebuilding in Platform Analytics. The Migration Center automates part of the work, but it is true that some dashboards end up in incomplete states after migration, and highly customized content will require native rebuilding rather than a true migration .
