Automatic software deployment via SCCM integration

We are looking for a solution to integrate our Software installation workflow (triggered from our Service Catalog in ServiceNow.

We already use the SCCM integration plugin to get data about PCs and software from SCCM to ServiceNow.

We now would like to trigger installations via SCCM from ServiceNow (after a potential approval in ServiceNow), and get a failure/success status from SCCM to ServiceNow.

We found a solution (DeployITNow | Blue Horizon Systems) which is now proposed by KPMG but we would like to compare to other solutions.

Has anybody any pointer to give?

Or did you do this yourself? How difficult is this?

Thanks for any info you can provide!

Is this application in the APP STORE?

Hi Jesus,

If you're asking about the link I posted, that is an external integration.

However, I'm about 75% complete with a native ServiceNow plugin application to provide one-click SCCM software deployment from the service catalog, which would require only SN, SCCM, and a MID server. I hope to provide a supported version through the app store. In preparation for that I'm looking for those interested in testing the initial version to see how it performs in their environment and to shape the implementation with feedback. If you're reading this and have a test/dev environment with ServiceNow, SCCM, and a MID server, please let me know if you'd be interested (no cost, just testing). Thanks!

Noah

Hi Noah,

I will be interested. I am adding you to exchange contact details.

Thanks

Jesus

A certified app is now available in the ServiceNow Store and provides a direct integration from SN to Configuration Manager for automatic software deployment through the software catalog. More details:

Store App page:

ServiceNow App: Software Deployment - ConfigMgr

Product page:

ServiceNow Integration: Software Deployment - System Center Configuration Manager

Please get in touch with any questions and to get a free trial going. Feedback and feature requests appreciated!

Hi Noah, thanks for the note. We didn't have the chance to talk yet. Priorities changed at the project I was working on and we didn't implement this. If I know of a client I will sure contact you.
