Hi @Mayur Patil2 ,

As we know the data of CMDB mostly comes from integrations like Discovery, SCCM, Bulk upload etc. When it comes to the best practices we should be clear with all the Rules(Reconciliation Rule, Health Rules etc) & see if all the instances have them configured properly this will ensure the data when entered in CMDB is not duplicated. As per the naming convention part it mostly depends what is the source of your data. If its coming from Automated sources such as Discovery , SCCM Integration then u dont need to worry abt it. But if its a manual load which u perform in your instance then u should have a standard naming convention decided after discussing it with the client & then while uploading u need to add that logic in ur Data load Transform Map for eg,

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Danish
