Best practice for multi-stage approval processes in Flow Designer

I am looking for advice on implementing multi-stage approval processes in Flow Designer.
In Japan, we often require a sequential/escalated approval process (e.g., Manager -> Department Head -> Division Director). However, the default "Ask for Approval" action in Flow Designer seems designed to request approval from multiple users simultaneously (either in parallel or with a first-to-approve/all-must-approve condition).
・Can I use multiple "Ask for Approval" actions sequentially in a single flow? If so, what are the potential risks or performance implications of this approach?
・Global standards: Are multi-stage/sequential approval workflows less common in other regions? I find the current OOTB capabilities a bit restrictive for our specific local requirements.
I would appreciate any insights on how you typically handle complex, multi-level approval workflows in ServiceNow.
Thank you!

As far as I know, there are no implications or performance issues with using sequential "Ask for Approval" actions.
If your requirement is to have approvals occur in sequence, you can use multiple "Ask for Approval" actions as needed. There is no harm in doing so, and it is a common approach for implementing sequential approval workflows.
