Can I export individual customer updates as XML and import them like a remote updateset?

Hello,

I have two Customer Updates that I want to move to a different update set. But, I can't find the "Move to current update set" in the "Action on selected rows" list.

So, I clicked on the individual customer updates and exported them as XML. Now, I have two such XML with the names:

sys_update_xml_2d43e79583e762107ffb1630ceaad3a4.xml

sys_update_xml_6974631983e762107ffb1630ceaad394.xml

Can I use them like they are remote update sets on a different instance?

Thank you in advance.

As always, any help or direction in this matter is much appreciated.

Kind regards

Anu

Yes, you can change what update set you want those in.  Open each and change the 'Update set' value:

The exported updates you have don't have much value. If you want to copy records from a table in one instance to the same table in another instance, just export those records and import them in the other instance, not the update versions.

When you open the individual customer update, it has a field called “Update Set”. This field tells the update set name which customer update belongs to.

you can update the update set field with the desired update set and save the form. After this you will see the customer update in new update set.

This same action can also be performed from list view if there are multiple customer updates which have to be moved across update sets.
