Can't add extension ui-component. Please try again. exit status 1

I am using node 14.

I have installed the cli from store

But When i try to add ui-component using snc extension update --name ui-component
It throws error mentioned in the subject.

There is one more issue.snc command is being recognized by cmd,but not by the terminal of vs code
