These are the approaches I tried.
When I go into Workflow Editor, I have a workflow that shows that it was checked out, by me, back in July (the highlighted one)
I ended up never doing anything with it, so I am trying to delete it, but I don't have that option.
So I tried to go to workflow versions to delete it and delete is grayed out (and, yes, I have elevated privileges):
Lastly, I pulled up wf_workflow.list and I can't find the checked out version. Anyone have any idea how I can get rid of this checked out verion?

Ah yes... I struggled with this too. You cannot delete a workflow if there are active contexts on it. Go to Workflow\Active Contexts and cancel the existing running workflow. Then the delete option will appear.
