Can you edit the fields displayed on VTB cards?

We want to edit the information that is displayed on a VTB card while still viewing the task board and not opening each card or record.   Is that possible?

Hi Skip,

It was possible to inline edit the card title in Fuji, but for Geneva+ the editing of card data happens in the card detail modal.

Thanks for replying Tim.   What do you mean by card detail modal?   I'm looking to edit the information that is visible when you are looking at the VTB.   Right now it is defaulting to certain fields based on the task type.

For example, project task is displaying Parent, Task Category, State, Approval, and Updated By.   How do I change those fields to the ones I want to see?

Hi Skip,

I seem to have mis-read your initial question. I thought you were asking if it was possible to in-line edit the fields on the card (ie, click the title field and edit the content directly from the card). Apologies for that.

The info fields that are displayed on the card are governed by the form view for the task type. If you don't already have a form view called "VTB" for the task type, go ahead and create one using Form Layout. From that form view, you can specify which fields should be displayed on the card's info view. Note that the "Show Card Info" option needs to be enabled from the Board Configuration for the info fields to be displayed.
