Cannot copy-paste some field contents from ServiceNow web page

We are not able to copy the details of the fields from the task and incident form.

We are facing this issue recently after which we are not able to copy the read only / greyed out fields from the fields present in the form.

Our current Chrome browser version is :Version 54.0.2840.71 m

Whereas we are not facing this issue in Internet explorer. We are able to copy the contents of the greyed out field and paste them.

Kindly let us know how this can be supported in all browsers or is it specific to browser version?

This is a chrome issue and below is the workaround
