Cannot duplicate a page variant

Hello,

I'm trying to modify the Record information in SOW:

What I want to do is duplicate the read-only OOTB variant (Record Information - Catalog SNC) and do the modifications I need as demonstrated in this video Modifying the Record Information tab in the contextual sidebar in Service Operations Workspace - You... . 

When I try to duplicate it I get the following error: "Invalid: condition includes field not defined in required parameters ( parent.table )"

The conditions specified are obviously there from the original OOTB page variant and are not editable.

Any ideas?

Hi @zdravkonedev 

If you go to the variant you want to duplicate and under open record select "variant record" and in the new tab you see screen condition. If you remove the conditions and save that record you should be able to duplicate that variant. When you have dupliated the variant you can add the condition back to the original variant.

Thank you @Gustav Aldenbra , however this didn't work as the page variant I want to duplicate is not editable based on its protection policy.

I was finally able to duplicate the variant by going to Settings => General => Open records => Variant collection and then opened the UX App Route from the related list. On the UX App Route I temporarily set the Fields (required parameters) to "parent.table,parent.sysId" which allowed me to copy the variant and removed them right after that.

Not the most straight forward thing but it worked for me.

can you give me screenshot in which you have set required parameter.
I have also tried to create duplicate variant but same error occurs. Followed your step but not able to find required parameter.

Please help us with this if possible.
