Cannot Select Text to Copy and Paste on SNOW while using Azure Virtual Desktop

Hi all,

 

A user has reported problems when trying to select a text for copy and pasting on SNOW instance while using Azure Virtual Desktop.

 

The situation is as follows:

The user is using Edge browser version 121.0.2277.4 on his Azure Virtual Desktop.

When he tries to select a text in SNOW it is not possible for him.... But if he tries to do it on any other web page it works for him.

Does anyone know of a similar problem and a possible solution?

Chromium based browsers include: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi, Comodo Dragon, Epic Browser, SRWare Iron, Blisk, Ungoogled-chromium, Yandex Browser, Epic, Colibri, and Iron Browser.
► The Chromium team has released Version 121.0.6167.47 which fixes the issue.
► This updated Chromium version will be incorporated into an upcoming Beta version of Edge.
► **Microsoft stated that this Beta-Version bug will not make it to the Production/Stable version of Edge.**

Experiencing similar issues with beta release 131. 

 

The links below suggest (if I'm not mistaken) that this will not go away with a Chrome bug fix. Does that mean a change is needed within ServiceNow?

As someone else mentioned this will be fixed in Xanadu. I also understand will be fixed in patch 9 of Washington. Cheers.

We're seeing the same issue with selecting text in textboxes in ServiceNow Washington DC using the latest version of Microsoft Edge (131.0.2903.51). It works as expected in Google Chrome (131.0.6778.70).

 

The issue seems to be fixed in ServiceNow Xanadu for both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
