I’m trying to change the State field on a Catalog Item using Catalog Builder, but I keep getting the error: 'Security prevents writing to this field.'
What I’m trying to do: Update the State of a catalog item (e.g., Draft → Published) from within Catalog Builder.
What I’ve already checked:
- Verified I have admin role.
- Looked for any UI Policies or Client Scripts that might be making the field read-only.
- Cleared cache and tested in a new session.
Despite all this, Catalog Builder still blocks the update with the security error.
Has anyone run into this before or know if Catalog Builder enforces additional security rules around the State field? Any guidance on where else to check would be appreciated.
