Catalog Item Variables are not following Catalog UI policy all variables are mandatory

I have a catalog item that has a few catalog UI polices. For some reason the UI polices are working on the portal side but in the backend, the variables that are not supposed to be visible appears visible and mandatory on the RITM and SCTASK form. Can someone explain how to resolve and how is this possible?

@Moe13 : Could you make sure that “Applies on Requested Item” and “Applies on Catalog Task” checkboxes are checked on your policies.

They are both checked.

@Moe13 : check if applies to selected as Both Service Portal and Desktop option

@Sainath N : Where would those options appear, on the catalog UI policy or the variables?
